Description of Scheme:
The Windsor Hotel project involved the redevelopment of the former Windsor Hotel into 18 affordable apartments, complete with amenities, and includes a 12-year structural warranty through AHCI.

This project encompassed full refurbishment, including roof replacement, timber frame extension, new windows, mechanical and electrical installations, and additional amenities, showcasing effective construction management.
The redevelopment of the Windsor Hotel project required careful consideration of archaeological findings due to the historic importance of the former hotel. Our team worked closely with the Vale of Glamorgan Archaeological Society to ensure a sympathetic restoration in line with the requirements of the planning authorities. To manage the construction effectively, we held weekly client meetings with the Clerk of Works and the on-site team to ensure specification and compliance. Despite the logistical challenges in a town centre location where access was very restricted, we engaged with CCS and the community, adhering to the Programme of Works. Ultimately, we successfully completed the project on schedule, paving the way for the development of affordable apartments while also ensuring certification for sound tests, structural warranty, and other regulatory sign-offs.
